一、GMAT数学词汇之Arithmetic算术词汇

算术类题目中，整数概念、百分比和描述统计这三类题目所占比例稳居前三并在数值上远超其他类型的题目。

整数概念

1、整数：integer，whole number

2、因子：factor or divisor

3、Divisible.可以被整除的

4、multiple 倍数

5、Perfect cube　完全立方数

6、the greatest common divisor　最大公约数：几个数所公有的最大因子称最大公约数，诸如：48与36的公因子有1，2，3，4，6，12，其中12为最大公约数。

7、the least common multiple最小公倍数：几个数所公有的最小倍数称最小公倍数，诸如：3，7和14的最小公倍数为42。

8、商和余数：quotients and remainders：余数和商都可以为0

9、奇数和偶数：odd and even integers：奇数和偶数都可以是负数;零一定是偶数

10、质数和合数：prime numbers and composite numbers：除了1和其本身外,还有其他因子的数叫合数。最小的质数为2，最小的合数为4，在讨论质数和合数时，都指正数。1和0既不是质数，也不是合数。

x n意味着the nth power of x。例如：64 is the 6th power of 2。2 is a 6th root of 64。

立方根是指cube root。

百分比描述

1、比率与比例：ratio and proportion

一个比率ratio可以表示成许多方式，例如：the ratio of 2 to 3可以被表达为2 to 3，2：3，或者2/3。注意比率中的中项的顺序是重要的，即2 to 3和3 to 2不同。A proportion is　a statement that two ratios are equal。例如：2/3=8/12是一个proportion。

2、百分比：percent

Percent means per hundred or number out of 100。

在考题中经常会问到从某一数量到另一数量百分比的增加或减少。首先算出增加或减少的量，然后除以原来的那个量，即“from”或“than”后面的量。

统计概念词汇：

1.平均数(average or arithmetic mean)：几个数相加然后除以个数得出的数就是平均值。

2.中数(median)：就是一列数按照大小排序，位于中间的那个数，求中位数要切记六字真言：“先排序，后取中“。如果个数是奇数那么中数就是中间那个数，如果个数是偶数，那么中数就是中间两个数的平均值。如果个数很多不确定，那么低百分之五十的对象所对准的那个数就是中数。这一部分出现难题比较多，要特别注意。

3.众数(mode)：一组数中的众数是指出现频率最高的数。

4.值域(range)：一组数据，其中最大数减去最小数所得的差就是该组数据的范围，这个范围强调的差值，不是区间。表明数的分布的量，其被定义为最大值减最小值的差。

5.标准差(standard deviation) 就是先求平均值，再算每一项与平均值的差的平方和，最后除以个数，在开方就是标准差。反应的是数据波动性，标准差越大，说明这组数据越层次不齐，高起低伏比较大，反之，就说明这组数据比较接近，统一整齐。

6.期望(expectation):期望就是算术平均值，用大写字母E表示。

二、GMAT数学词汇之Elementary Algebra基本代数词汇

1、有关数学运算
